Kazakhstan has massive oil and gas potential, including Kashagan, in Kazakhstan’s sector of the Northern Caspian Sea, the world’s largest oil discovery in the last 30 years. The UK is already the second largest investor in Kazakhstan, with 80 companies already operating in country, and, says UK Trade and Investment, this is a market North East businesses cannot afford to ignore.

Setting up in Kazakhstan toolkit

UK Trade & Investment launched a guide to ‘Setting up in Kazakhstan’ in 2005 to assist UK companies with their market research and strategy development. The toolkit assists companies with carrying out an internal audit, desk and field-based research, market entry options and important steps to allow market entry.
